(2) 15SE's vs. 15XXX

Ok, well I narrowed my decision to these too. I was going with the 15A but I am not waiting that long for one. I have a Brutus 1500 that I will use to power them. Whatever one I will choose I will be running sealed until March and then I will probably port them depending on how loud they get sealed. I have the room for either since It's going in my van so room is not an issue. I don't plan to compete, and I listen to mostly rap music. I know there is a thread about this but that is two 12SE's vs the 15XXX so that doesn't answer my question. For people who have experience with this, I will be really appreciative. If it makes a difference I will be using the 2003 new design for either woofer. I tried the search already but it doesn't really answer my question. I like the SQ of my infinity references but would like it to be a lot louder so I am going with RE. I been told that both woofers will probably sound better then the references so I don't think SQ will play a role into my decision.

well which is it? on the title u have 15SE and on the paragraph its 12's. if its two 15's ... thats what i would go for.

talk to FalconXtreme-2 15" SE's and Marleyskater420-XXX. theyve both heard each others setup. Theyr both ported in big boxes. Ive heard tylers setup and god **** it was CRAZY loud. Tyler said his setup wasnt as loud as his. Pretty crazy if u ask me. 2 15's isnt as loud as 1 15. And falconXtreme had 100 more watts than tyler. 1600. I say get a XXX. These things OWN.

imo the se's have the capabilities to get louder than a single xxx.....having experience with both subs helps...its' all in the install tho...but one killer sub is pretty bad ace if you ask me....since i'm runnin a xxx

uh, I said there was another thread about 12SE's vs 15XXX but that doesn't apply to me.

Well back on topic, yea the single sub setup would be badass though. I think FalconXtreme has his only in a 4cuft box which would explain why Marleyskater420 is louder. The XXX is in a 6cuft box and I think was tuned higher. I might go with a XXX run it in a 2.75 cuft sealed and then run it in a 5 cuft tuned to 30 in the future. Any other opinions would be great. I would love to hear opinions on anyone with sealed applications.

I used to own a pair of 15" SE's (FalconXtreme has mine), and currently own a single 15" XXX. For some reason, I just like the XXX more. Dunno why.......and I heard LoneRanger's SEXXX this weekend, and that sucker wangs too. You can't go wrong with either setup.
