2 15" rl-p's or 1 18" XXX???

Ok, I asked earlier for suggestions on 18" subs. About 75% was the XXX. With that in mind, what would you rather have in you car/truck??

since i already own a 15 rl-p, i would be very interested to have an 18 xxx

2 15's would out displace the 18 but teh *** appeal of an 18 is nice. either way you should get a decent sql setup. what do you have for power?

For now I'm push the 2 rl-p's with a power acoustik 2400. I know thats not going to be enough for the XXX though.

a 2400 will push the XXX to its rms but it can take more

Keep the RL-p's. I doubt you would gain a signifigant increase in output or accuracy. Don't waste the time and money...

Why not try to get an rlp built into an 18"?

personanly i am not a huge fan of the 06 XXX, never seen any impressive videos (lot sof excusrion yes) but nothing with actual TL results..

You already got the 2 15"s....... i would sitck with them and try a different box like already stated.

Stick with the Rl-p's. More displacement and just as good (if not better) sound quality.

if you build a box with a lower tuning fq and eq the low end a bit, the RL's will hit just about any frequency you want. Lot of our customers use TC9's that hit below 12hz flat for home theater.

actually there was a show where 2 - 12'' 06 xxx's did like a 142 or something pathetic.

not to say that all scores will be that way, just that one was wildly dissappointing.
