anther question, which of these would be louder, 2 12" magnum D2's vs (1) 15" XXX

lemme throw in another 15" the Crystal CMPx2

and what kind of box should they be put in, ported or sealed and what would be the best amp for the job

how much power to each? Assuming equal power then the 12's will be a little louder.
