2 12"s vs 1 12"

Ok ok first thing that comes to mind is go for the 2 12's right?

I am just curious on what do you guys think would be better all around.

2 12"s- mayhems, 3512's etc

or 1 beastly *** 12. fully built btl etc.

The setup is going to be underneath my back seat not a blowthrough.

or even which would you guys rather see/hear?

Umm...you sure a 12" woofer will fit? Subs today are not exactly shallow, in addition you'll need some space so the cone will not destroy itself pounding the floor 60 times a second.

When building a stealthbox; subwoofer depth & enclosure requirements mean everything. So anything 'beastly' is probably out of the question since it will only fit if you raise the seat up another 6". Are you a pigmy? That might actually work then. Otherwise, a big motor will displace too much air inside the enclosure & will be too deep to safely fit under the seat without losing any function to the car's interior.

You didn't mention what vehicle you have, so I'm assuming it's an extended cab truck.

sorry forgot to mention i lifted my rear seat 4 inches already. I had to AA Chaos 12s under the back seat. so I think ill be pretty cool on space.

definitely my same thought. i should of put a different thread title. i was also thinking about doing 4 10's. its just i kind of wanted to try something new or just see what you guys want to see done and ill try it.

basically im looking for a new system and im down to try whatever you guys think, as long as it fits under neath my rear seat.
