2 12"s or 1 15" price and sound

Generally, two 12" subs would probably be louder, due to more cone area. However, the 15" may get a little deeper. I'm not sure about the AQ's, but that's the general rule of thumb (that I have gathered anyway)

As for "wat subs?", what is your budget?

So you want two 12" subs for around $200?

With that budget, you could go with Type-R's, which is what my new build is based around. They sound really good for the money.

You are horribly wrong.

agreed... and guilty, the idea of multiple cheap subs just always crosses the imagination as "louder" than 1 really good sub
There is nothing wrong with a multi-sub woofer set up. Just that there is this perception that people think they need to shove X number of woofers in their vehicle to get loud, when all the while they could spend less, and build smart. Trust me, I get the same fun ideas of wanting to do a 4 10" Icon set up to demo to people for the wow factor.

i was thinking the same thing for my gfs car she wants something loud that sounds good and on a budget so first thought was 2 12"s but then once i thought about it figured prob be better to get just one good 15" sub
