Hello everyone,

Helping a friend out and doing what I can with his budget to give some character to his '97(?) Chevy Prizm.

His equipment (given to him for free by his cousin) includes:

Pioneer DEH-1600 headunit

(2) 12" Infinity Reference "1240w" subwoofers

Kicker KX250.2 amp

Wiring already "completed" - More on that later.

In addition, I sold him a set of BNIB 6.5" Memphis PR component speakers.

First up is the box. I have decided to give painting a try, as I've always carpeted enclosures (or left bare MDF) in the past. As the Kicker amp is underpowering even these subs, I've decided to give the 12's a bit more space. Box specs - 3.2 Ft^3 tuned to 35hz, with a 54 in^2 port.

More to come. Thanks for taking a look, and of course, any advice is wholeheartedly welcomed.

Finished today, didn't have time to do everything I wanted because he needed his car returned. Also, didn't have my phone to take pics of some progress, or funny findings, like the ground wire which was attached to factory deadening. But he is happy and I now know how to paint a box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
