Looking to put a loud, relatively inexpensive system in my 94 cadi.
Im looking at grabbing 2 12" Mofos and some new interior speakers.
My question is what amp will I need to really get these things loud.
Dont want too much power and end up blowing em up, or not enough and draining the amp til its death. Ive been looking at Power Acoustik amps as well.
The 3000, 2400, 1980, and 1800.
I think the 2400 would be perfect? Should I spend the extra cash for the 3000 or will the 2400 do just fine?
Power Acoustik Mofo 12"
Non-pressed paper cone with aluminum rib insert (patent pending)
Dual 1ohm voice coil
Die cast aluminum
Black wrinkle finish with Diamond cut
Wrinkle finish front & back plate
2400 watts power handling
1200 watts rms
270 oz. magnet
3” BASV/Kapton Hybrid 18 AWG Voice Coil
SPL 90 dB
Sealed box: N/A
Ported box: 2.4 cu..Ft.
Tuning: 40 Hz
Port size: 3”(dia)x8.75”(length)
# of ports: 2
