Aren't the L7 more SPL driver? I am looking for a solid daily setup, so looking somewhere between 60/40 SQ/SPL, I know the box has to do a lot with how the sub sound, but given the right box, i still lean toward accurate and tight bass.

I am down to two choice, the FI Q or the TC-3K, both are on sale in the classified, with the 3K ~ $100 more. It does look sexier though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. I have until Monday to decide, so yeah, more opinion will be cool. I already searched and read through most if not all in regards to the these two subs, but no good reviews as ppl been bashing on TC lately, more to do with price & service than performance, which is what I look for.

Yeah, u got it all, typical u want mdf or birch instead of plywood, 3/4" or thicker if using decent power, sized and tuned properly, sealed tight, brace if necessary...

The L7 can be a good daily driver sub. It doesn't sound half as bad as people say it does. The Q is a nice, nice sub and will do well, but I will give the edge to the 3k on sexiness. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Mainly the design of the box. For example theres many ways to get a 3cube box @32hz, a good design will help the sound a bit. You can also do a few things to a box to help the sound, such as 45s on corners, rounded port walls, fiberglass resin.
