Ok what is louder spl wise, two 12" kicker solobaric subs powered by a PG tantrum1500d @2ohms or one 13" w7 sub powered by the same thing at the same ohms? And lets say that the install on both of these is a pretty good install.Which one is louder spl wise?

I would go with the Kickers. Can't really beat kickers for the price, they are really good and farly cheap. Also the W7 would be running at 3 ohms and I don't think you would get full power out of the Tantrum at 3 ohms but I could be wrong, my knowlage on the tantrum is not as extent as it ust to be...

what do u think the best amp would be to power those two 12"s?
I am never going to get tired of telling people about these amps. Eclipse DA7122, 2000 watts at 2 ohms, 120 db s/n ratio, 1000 Damping. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif

Well, the L7s are definitely going to be louder for any given power level, and they'll definitely be capable of getting louder with that amp.

The 13w7 doesn't present a 2 ohm load in any wiring configuration, it would either be a 0.75 ohm load or a 3 ohm load, so you definitely would want to use an amp that can do maximum power at about 1 ohm, ideally.

For pure SQ I'd take the 13w7, but the L7s are going to be louder for any given power level, as I said...
