2 12" infinity referance or 1 12" kappa perfect

Ok im looking at the infinity referance pair 12" 1230 or 1232 or 1 12" infinity kappa perfect 12.1 or 12.1d which do you guys think would be better for the money. Thanks. also should i get the svc ro dvc?? im getting the ap1000m amp with either setup i get and its a mono.

i would go with the perfect just because of it's specs... i don't really know much else about the types of perfects... does that amp do 1000rms? what box are you thinking about using it in?

the amp is the ap1000m and has like 310 or 450, but i talked to a crutchfield operator on the phone and he said it would work well.

What really seprates the 2 from one another is the kappa can handle a little more power, and hit way lower. Ive had them both at one point.

The pair of References have the potential for more SPL with less stress on the woofers, the single prefect would need to pushed to its limits to match the pairs output.

In conclusion I think the pair of Reference subs would be a louder and more reliable setup, if you like to crank it up every once in awhile.

Yea I would go with the 2 references,I miss read the post. Although the kappas are better the 2 references would get much louder, and sound great while doing so.

Just get the 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect. There is no need to go for 2 subs from the bottom of Infinity's line up. I recommend the Kappa Perfect from past experience, just make sure the box is to specs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ive owned both, and the references sq is good. They are infinitys lowest line, but they definately dont sound like a low end sub. The 2 references would own the kappa in most every catagory.

Maybe not in overall sq, but then again hes trying to find the best deal for the money. The kappa may have a little better sq, but its not worth the output loss. Get the references, or better yet just get 2 kappa 12.3's for 70 a peice on ebay.

2 12's Reference ap1000m in a ported box goes BOOM.
