2 10's or 1 12

I don't know if this is possible yet, but I was wondering if I was able to squeeze a 1.25 cubic foot enclosure, ported it and dropped to a 10 inch ssp would it outperform the two 10 inch TE's. I don't know if this is possible yet I just wanted to get some feedback.

Have you heard the saying, "there's no replacement for displacement"? Not only does that hold true in the engine world, but in the speaker world too. The SSp does handle twice the power then the TE does so in theory 2 TE's sharing 1k watts should equal 1 SSp off of 1k watts, so that in theory should equal out. I want to stress theory, double the power and double the cone area should double you output, given all other things are equal/remain the same.

Ok, I'm hoping I found a box that can solve my problems or it just opened a whole new can of worms for me.

I am looking at either the 1 10 ported or the 2 10 ported (the 1.85 cu. ft. is for both combined). I like the two ten ported for the cone area but I'm afraid that their is not enough airspace for two 10's. Either TE, or SSi.

If their is not enough airspace I would probably just go with one 10 inch SSp in the single 10 inch ported enclosure.

Sorry for the continual questions, I just want the best setup I can get for this truck.

I see what everyone is saying and I agree with you, I would be better to get a custom box made but I don't have the time, or patience to design a fiberglass ported box for under the seat of my ram (not an easy task), and any reputable shops within 100 miles of me want to charge me 700 to 800 for a custom sealed box. So the fox box is the best thing I have been able to find, the other alternative they recommended was the probox but it doesn't have the airspace I want or need to the foxbox is my safest bet.

I'm really not trying to be rude and I thank everyone for all the help you have given me but I need help regarding using the foxbox so if 2 10 inch TE subwoofers will work ok in a box tuned to 36hertz with 1.85 cu. ft. combined I'd greatly appreciate it.
