well ive already changed from 1 infinity kappa 10" to these 2 10" cvrs b/c i got a deal on them. well now i have a friend that has a 12" solarbaric sub that he is going to sell me for $75. i like my subs now and i have a prefab box with them but everyone seems to really like the solarbaric and the cvr's are considered entry level subs i guess. i will have to make a new box for the solarbaric. but the thing is idk what model the solarbaric is i guess i can find out tomaro though. but i would like to know what you guys think about this upgrade would it be worth it or not? i have a profile 2000 watt amp and it is rated at doing 980 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms. i just want more bass though. my cvrs now are practically new they only have like 5 hours of playtime on them. but to me it sounds like a great deal. he has two i could probably get both for like 120 or so.. ill check the model out tomaro so you guys can lmk what you think. b/c im not huge into car audio so you guys know more about it than me.

here is my current setup.

pretty clean i did it all myself it was my 2nd system install. but with the solarbaric i can make a box that will give me more cargo room in the back. this box takes up the whole hatch area.

I'd take the solo, round or square //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
it is square i know that much.

i heard the 2 12"s in his truck and they sounded pretty good and hit really hard but i dont think i have enough amp to power two of them very well. which is why im only considering one of them. but i would like to add some aa 8's back there too.

bump what do you guys think? i could also keep one 10 and run one cvr and the solobaric instead of just running the solo. lmk what you guys think. maybe i will pick up both of the solo's and figure out what i want to do.

i would like to pick up both of the l5's but i dont think i have enough room in my camaro for a big enough box for two of them.

well even though only two people had any opinion. i went ahead and bought the L5 and he gave me a ported box for two l5's that is cracked so i have to make a new back plate which should be easy. but i only paid $60 for the sub and the box. not bad if i do say so myself.

btw what should i tune the box to? im thinking like 30-35?

cvrs are really nice, and it looks like u got a nice setup so im just thinkin you would be off better to keep this, cause it will cost more moey to make a box... up 2 u tho

ya i really liked them but i think this solo will get alot louder and i just like messing around with stuff so i can do this big change for pretty cheap so it will give me something to do with my free time and hopefully i will like it alot better but we will see.

The l5 will get louder in the right box... i say tune it low 28-32hz to get a very powerful lowend out of the Solo... and if you tune it low you won't loose much sq.

well i have made my box plans but i am trying to figure out how to calculate making the ports. i posted in the enclosure desing area of this sight and no one will help or has any knowledge of this...
