187 or 9515

ok i have 2 12" 187s right now on ~800wrms from a viper d1200.1. i am looking at getting a DD9515 and for the time being using the d1200.1 @1ohm(~1200wrms) until i can get another amp. my question is will the 1 9515 be louder than the 2 187s on the amount of power from the viper at their respective ohm loads? also in a 4 cuft enclosure tuned to 35hz for the 9515, what would you guys say it will be comparable to with that amount of power?

well trey, as soon as i get mine, i will give it a good hump just for you. i have heard that the 9515 takes some power to make it move but i should get more output even at 1200wrms over the 187s if my thinking is correct

187s and 9515's are in a competly different leauge. 187's are IA's lowest line of subs. 9500 are DD flagship line. Its hardly a fair comparison. Even though I'm partial to IA I'd go with the DD's...

yea i think i may have it. like i said before i have heard to really get anything loud with a 9515 you need around 1800 to 2500wrms. i was just wondering what would be louder considering cone area and there being only 400wrms difference between the 2 setups. thanks for the help though
