185 DB in an EXT from Truckin Mag, used 2 MTX Jackhammers

get ahold of scottie,he had something to do w/the truck......does'nt do anywhere near 80's, but i hear it plays MUSIC pretty loud(mid 50's).

as far as breakin' the 180db mark......owens done it a few times, and dante has done it,but think it was w/the 2-sub setup....the single did 77-78db,other than that,some of the fins claim they've reached it......not certified

Well the first truck did 185 then vaporized... So the built a second one and are having not so good results...

I am actually pretty positive that it sounds like ***. . . that MTX truck has soo many door speakers and the distortion is probably HORRIBLE. . .MTX has no idea what sound imaging means. . . MTX FTMFL

Didn't read so sorry if this was said. But it says the subs are capable of reaching 185db's. It didn't say that it has hit 185.

I think you guys read it wrong..

Each weighing in at 369 pounds and measuring 22 inches wide, the MTX Jackhammer subs are housed in an aluminum box that can handle the 185 decibels of sheer terror.

So just the box can handle 185 dbs, supposedly. Doesn't mean it is handling 185, but just that if those subs were to hit 185, the box could handle it.

Lawl. They probably amazed a lot of people who don't know a lot about car audio with their wording.
