18" XXX vs 2 12" SX which one should I Buy...

Hey Guys,

My friend has a 2005 yukon. He wants a woofer. He can't decide what to chose. Its either 1 18" xxx or 2 12" SX

which should he get.. he wants SQ for his dad and SPL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

what would be better let me know what ya think..

XXX hands down. It will own the SXs in sound quality.

an 18" xxx has more cone area then a 2 12" sx's if i'm not mistaken. just throw it in a nice ported box.

I run a single 18" SX in my suburban. . 6.5 cu^ft enclosure tuned to 34HZ and i absolutely love it

I'd say go with the single 18" just for the sheer w0w factor and the sound quality. It's going to get ridiculously loud regardless why not have it get loud and sound good...

And when someone asks you, "what you got back there"... you could be like, "an 18 biatch!"

I liked Noah's 18 XXX, go for that, make sure you give it enough space and power and you'll LOVE it!

because of the SQ your looking for everyone is gonna say xxx. I think SX is not known for SQ qualities, atleast from what Ive read about them.

I have a 15 SX and to tell you the truth the sound qaulity is not all that bad and i was surprised to see that it could keep up with the heavy metal with the double bass drum.
