18" xover???

Depends on the capabilities of your other speakers.

What else are you running in your system?

I'v got 5x7's and a 15" sub.

The 5x7's play down to 80Hz

The 15 plays 90Hz and below.

 
If you have 6.5" speakers you would be alright

letting them play down to around 60Hz or so.

I would not run them without a X-over. Especially

if you have a sub in your system.

Your 6.5" speakers will sound better without sub-sonic

bass going to them. They will be able to focus on the

mid-bass and sound cleaner.

Best thing to do is to just play around with different

x-over settings and see what you like the best.
