18" xover???

just bought 18 rockford hx2. it looks nice! my question is what i should set the crossover on my amp to for it. I drive a 98 corolla (compact sedan). thanks!!!

Depends on the capabilities of your other speakers.

What else are you running in your system?

I'v got 5x7's and a 15" sub.

The 5x7's play down to 80Hz

The 15 plays 90Hz and below.

i have four alpine speaker with 6.5 inch and tweeter built in...

forget the specification, but the speaker are large 6.5's (had to bust out the saber saw)

me i would be using 80 HP and 80 LP

or even straight pass on speakers and 50 on the sub it they can handle the bass

If you have 6.5" speakers you would be alright

letting them play down to around 60Hz or so.

I would not run them without a X-over. Especially

if you have a sub in your system.

Your 6.5" speakers will sound better without sub-sonic

bass going to them. They will be able to focus on the

mid-bass and sound cleaner.

Best thing to do is to just play around with different

x-over settings and see what you like the best.
