lol, i know ya can. i was just trying to figure out why there were so many. i was like "no way is there that many braces in that box...or is there?!" i was starting to think you built a sealed enclosure around your sub, using wooden dowels lol

This will do the trick...if you can find one .

lol...i actually ended up putting carpet on it . For some reason i never took any pictures when it was all done .

Nice old **** cone, ridiculously too many screws. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif You dont have to use every screw you purchase. At best running too many screws is a waste of money, at worst it can actually serve to weaken the box.

I like the look of the old **** cones for nostalgia, but I still like the concave cone of the newer ones more.

and out of all those screws.. the ones he didn't screw in all the way are the ones holding the sub in:p:

That whole box is double 3/4 mdf with glue in between with more internal bracing inside . That box wasn't weak . That thing was built like a tank. Those screws have a purpose . No such thing as a waste of money when you build a quality box. Been building them for almost 20 years .

It's all good though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No offense meant, Im sure it was strong... but if you've been building boxes 20 years, Id think you would have a more uniform and regular method/thought process to applying screws. When I screw 2 pieces of mdf together, I like to use a regular patten of screws to divide the force evenly. It looks like you just put screw here and there until you ran out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
