18" RE SX or 2 eD 13ov2's?

I could snag a like new 18" SX for $310 shipped, but on the other hand I could snag 2 Elemental Designs 13ov2's for $230 shipped. I will be running an eD nine.1 amp (1200 @ 1 ohm). The Ov2's will be sealed, and the SX I dont even know cause I would need to make the box, probably ported. Will 1200watts push that SX, or will it barely move? What would you get if you were me? 1200 should be plenty considering the SX is 1000 rms. Not to mention the eD amp puts out a tad over 1200 watts @ 14.4v.

should I run a ported or sealed box? I have a 00 Grand AM GT, the trunk is not to big, but im going to try and run it so the box lays flat and the sub aiming up at the trunk when closed. Any opinions?

ported, dont waste the SX withsealed box

your looking at atleast 6 cubes for the sub+ port, bracing ect

I know that still the 13Ov2's will get very loud. Dont know if I will have the room for the 18" SX though, maybe Ill just got with the 13ov2's, I like the sound of their subs a lot.

hes talkin about an 18" sx, 4.5 wont work well. I say atleast 6 cubes

Will 1200watts push the sx? Answer to that is they are rated as 1000watts rms, so yeah 1200 will get pretty darn loud especially on an 18. my 15" sx did a 140.3 @ 42hz

I was running it off of 1300 watts, it wont hurt it it can take way more than that

what,i cant really understand what you just said, but you said the rms of an sx is 12000 if you meat 1200 its not its rms is supose to be1000rms, but 1200 doesnt hurt it.
