Why would you stick with that? please explain, theres vids of them taking 10k fine, and i personally know of one being ran on a test tone for 8 hours off 8k.
So please tell me, why would you stick with 2k.
And yes i have heard MT's get sloppy.
this is 10k on one
They are the ones who told me that my 3200 would be a good amp for their sub.better for daily driving at 2000 watts yes the xxx is better. i am sure that they would not reccommend someone overpowering there speaker that is rated at 2000 400 more
ive seen that sub in person, and heard it. You cant even tell a difference in the sound of it with the "black' voice coil. But 8k watts on a sub doing a test tone for 8+hours isnt exactly normal use.i will step down. but i saw a picture of what a xxx cone looks like after taking two of the planet audio amps on one sub......it was not that golden brown... it was that black coffee no sugar no cream
um an 05 XXX and 06 XXX are totally different as you know.dude when a coil is black it is real close to being burned correct? if it keeps getting the same power that is was getting to turn it black don't you think it will blow eventually???? therefore it will NOT take 2 of those amps daily fine,
not to compare apples to oranges but
i but an 04 xxx on my orion 2500d at 1 ohm and it eventually burned up..
some thing with a mt at .5 on the orion, coil looked the same. with everything equal
um an 05 XXX and 06 XXX are totally different as you know.
Im sure it would blow, but as i said 8kwatts for 8 hours isnt what normal activity is, and I run 3200 on my 06 all the time no problems at all. i listen to all hip hop with an occasional classic rock with dad is riding with me. My Coils look exactly the same as it ddi right out the box.
what you said abotu the box determining the sound is true to a point, but subs are engineered for different jobs, and the fact of our discussion is that the XXX is a SQL driver and the MT is a SPL driver.
4 amps strapped at an audio shopgot ya...
i have heard alot of bullshit and it trains you to believe non of what you read....
how do you power a speaker with 8000 for 8 hours?????
