Coil rated for 1500wrms but will take more, sub was used briefly, sounds great. I built it and I have had no complaints yet. Due to the light cone and coil that fills the gap very well, this sub does not need much to get loud. Guy I sold it to put it on about 500 watts at 4 ohms and it sounded great. He only got rid of it to go with 3 x 12's and 3 amps. He liked this sub a lot. It's still stiff.

Interesting sub. What's the reason for the open space between the basket and motor? Any ideas about t/s, xmax, etc?

As mentioned, the coil and spiders are IA DP, they weren't originally made for this basket, so to fit the gap height properly I had to raise the basket to then raise the coil. Now it's the right height. No idea about t/S I don't currently have the ability to pull them. Like I said. It gets loud on low power, or works great, sounds great, and for the price I don't think you can beat it for a single D2 18".
