no i am going to try again this weekend. I run out of time. The mic is a linear x but it is tuned 6 times a year so we will see what happens. What is everyone's opinion on this mic

a newly calibrated linear x is only 1 - 1.6 decibels off from the new term lab meters. the only reason meca switched is the termlab meters are Consistant. i've never seen anything bigger n a 1.6 drop. if that helps at all

the LinX is up 2db max from the termlab. the AC depends on how often it's calibrated and if its the newest mic. the AC they use for SLAP around here is about 2.5-3db up from the termlab, i have seen others that 7-9db up(last years USACI). AC also makes a new sensor(spl190 i believe) for the 3055 meter. it is within .2 of the new TL.

it really doesn't matter to me. a DD that makes you sic doesn't matter what it meters. for comps, all that matters is that the mics are consistant for your org.

yea the new world record was set by pioneer with 9 12s in a (i bleleave a 2wd pickup) and it was around 174.1 anyone with 2 10s saying they can hit 178 is either a cheater or a lier

Nope, the pioneer truck does NOT have the world record for loudest vehicle.

Team SuperSound has it with a louder score of 174.4 legal. 1 18 and 8 amps of some kind....They were being ultra secretive at finals....

ps - 2 10s CAN do 170+ in port wars. 178 Im doubting, but perhaps....

both superior sounds and Scott's truck were not legal per this years rules in Db drag...

Scott however, redid his truck.. and now holds what I think is the loudest current score in drag, 173.1

Nope, wasn't DQ'ed even though everyone there was trying to get him dq'ed....

Superior sounds SHOULD have been DQ'ed for unsportsman like conduct however....

As Loyd said, neither design would be legal this year....

8 amps 1 sub...... to do that wouldnt u put 2 amps on each coil? wich would mean that the sub is a quad? and ive heard quad subs are not alowed at dbdrags.

If the amps are stappable then you could hook all of them up to one coil. You could probibly hook infinitly many strappable amps to a SVC Sub.

aint all amps only strappable to a certian ohm? like my amp is strapable to 2ohms.
