16volt experts come on in!

and to the comment about 250amps and 10k, should i go dual 250 amp alternators? I am getting very mixed reviews about this. Some people are saying a 250 amp alty at 16 volt will handle 10krms no problem, others highly disagree
There is a formula that will tell you what you should be running for alt amp per current draw. I'm sure some one who isn't tired or as dumb as me will know it.

When I talked to Doc Miller about 16v voltage drops he said that if you dropped to the low 15's it was bad and more than likely going to cook an amp/amps if it dropped much lower. Our convo was not just about modded amplifiers and or just super street comp cars either. With a big voltage drop comes more current aka heat.

The 3500d's are 12v amps that are capable of 16v....right?
If so, they just think of them at 12v amps. As long as your voltage stays safe for a 12v amp, you are fine.
IIRC, they have non-regulated power supplies. If you up the input voltage you can get more out of them.
