16awg okay for 200-250RMS?

Putting the box/subs/amp in my sisters car tomorrow morning, and the only speaker wire i have laying around is 16awg.

Setup consists of two kicker CVR 8's and a kenwood amp (500RMS)

will 16awg be okay for this (200-250rms per sub). The runs will be about 3-4feet.
