165k2p vs Lotus vs Profi

I was choosing among these three speakers recently and I ended up with Seas Lotus Reference. I've listened to all three set-up, my order of preference is: Lotus Reference > Rainbow Profi Vanadium > Focal K2P. Lotus and Rainbow are close while Focal is a distant 3rd.

would you recommend the vanadium line or the regular profi?
Vanadium = aluminum cone version in the Pro/Profi line. Maybe someone else can comment on the sound differences between the two....oooooooooh 6spd, where are youuuuu //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i just got my Prof Vanadium 3 ways hooked up and going. haven't done any fine tuning on the EQ's on the 880PRS yet, but they sound great as they are.

the main difference from what i get is the Profi Vanadiums have a titanium dome tweeter and the Profi's have a soft dome tweeter. you'll get more detail with the hard dome tweeter. haven't heard the Profi's to compare them to the Vanadiums, but i love my Vanadiums.

someone help with the profi vanadium vs profi in sound.
Cal26silk= lively, buttery smooth scross the frequency range, great detail-not laid

back but top end warms up with heavy volume. Great listening, everyday tweeter.

Cal26 titanium= better off axis response than Seas (important if you are not aiming), better high freq extension than the silk , but not as smooth . For a hard dome it actually has a smooth timbre as does the Lotus hard dome. Both are a bit bright and need some EQ to minimize boost caused by the carss interior reflections.

The Profi's silk tweeter is probably the best tweeter I have ever heard in a car , with only Dynaudio possibly equaling it. It has most of the detail of a great hard dome , but never gets harsh. It's greatest strength is how VERY natural it sounds. It doesn't have the rolled off issues that most silks have , nor does it crap out at high volumes.

It is quite possibly THE one tweeter that hard dome lovers would also enjoy perfectly well. For me , it blends the best of hard and soft dome tweeters.
