Hmmmmm, sold my PDX-4.150 (paid $406 BNIB) and bought Dalucifer's Eclipse XA4000 ($165 shipped, LNIB, not a scratch on it). Both are full range class-d amps with similar power.

The Eclipse brought my mids to life, they sound sooo much cleaner/fuller than they did with the Alpine.

I'm running active BTW, and didn't change a single setting on the headunit. Tweeters sound a little smoother too.

Odd?

Dayton RS180 mids and Blaupunkt VC100 tweets.

3" deep (same as DA175), but the diameter is the same. Pick up a pair, only $90 shipped.

I love them, they own my 720PRS mids in every aspect.

They put out very clean power for substages. I'm thinking about keeping my current "eclipse only" route (besides my XXX mids) and getting the xa2000 instead of a US amps 800.2
