1501d Thermal when modded....??

sooooo i have one of my 1501d's modded, running one ohm (which it does NOT like on a hot florida day with constant sine sweps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )....... so it gets hot

well it get hot enough that the amp will shut off when it seem slike it cant take anymore.....the question is......the protection circuit that ws removed to mod this, does that only do protect for too low of ohms and too high/low

voltage while thermal protect is on another part of the board and still working? that'd make sense but i wanted to ask.....

id also like to know as i notice my 1501d will shut off for a couple minutes at high volumes but never does at low volume.. i'm wondering if it could be that my gain is too high or because my EQ/line driver is boosting too high? it wont do it all the time at high volume though only somteims.. is it possible these "somtimes" are times that a frequency is being clipped due to my EQ?

The 1501d will literally shut off when modded if...

-Voltage drops too low.

-It gets too hot.

This isn't protections kicking in or anything... this is the amp physically shutting down. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So, be easy on it when this happens.

ya......thats what happened when it blew........it had done that once or twice and i (being an *******) ran it hard still until it poped alogn with the xxx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
