1501bd rockford + 9510 good matchup?

well im just trying to get some opinions, i recently purchased a 1501bd rockford amp to match up with my MTX 9500 10" , ive heard people say that these subs can take alot of abuse, but 1500 watts daily???(or 1640 or whatever they are tested at) if anything i can just set the gain with the dmm to aprox. 55V then turn it down a little if anything, but who would want to do that........

the ten is rated in between 750-1000 rms, but ive heard of people running them at peak of like 1500-2000 daily, and if setup right should be fine
