1500wrms amp, 8ga wire, gain set for 350wrms.

Now I haven't tried this before so i'm asking, but i'm pretty confident that regardless of how much power the amp could potentially put out, i can still use 8ga wire if i set it to only put out 350wrms to my sub. Just wanted to double check that would be fine. Also how much rms class D power would you be willing to run on 8ga wire? My wiring kit says 500watts so i'm guessing around there, i'd just like a second opinion.

wasn't sure whether this went in wiring or amps, but i figured either one would do.

fyi at 350wrms it'll be run at 4 ohms, any higher than that and it'll be at 1.34ohms.

Fine to do. Just fuse at 60A. Fuse protects the wire.

Like he said fuse it and I would check the amp to make sure it's not getting hotter than usual. Plus if u can throw a bigger ground to it I would do that

yep it's fused to 60amps, even though my alts 50amps lol.

EDIT: I don't even know why I chimed in on this.... sorry. Once KHA addresses the issue, it's solved.
