ok im new to car audio and i was wondering if there is 1 15" sub that can compare to 2 12" alpine type r's.

I will be running about 300 watts rms to two subs so im guessing ill be running about 600 watts rms to one 15"if i buy one.

If not will the type r's be fine if i run 300 watts rms each to them thanks

ok the enclosure is gone be behind the seats of my truck so theres only like 7 or 8 inches max for the box and sub and the price range is about $200-$300 ok thanks

Even a Brahma won't fit. Take the 10" Brahma for example; 6.875" mounting depth + 1.5" for wood + 1.5" for breathing room behind sub = 9.875" ATLEAST for the 10" Brahma, and you only have 7 or 8" to work with. The Brahma is not going to work out either.

Honestly, your best bet is probably to look into using multiple 8's instead of a single larger sub. 8's will [generally] require less box space and will have a much shallower mounting depth.

But regardless, you need to look for a sub that has less than 4.5" mounting depth.
