15" spl recommendations around $400

I'm wanting to do a single 15 for spl, I'll build whatever ported box will work best, I'm pretty much torn between:

Audioque HD315

Memphis Mojo 15

Fi BTL 15

I'm open to other 15's too.

well if your only giving 1200 at 1 ohm whats the point in SPL?

I say upgrade your and and sub if you want that. a orion 2500d and a BTL would do the trick.

The mojo is very inefficient. Get the hd3 out of the choices. Can be had used for cheap!

1200 watts is going to keep you from pushing a real spl sub like the btl, or hd3.

if you are going to upgrade the amp later, than go for either the hd, or the btl other wsie get a sub that will do well off that power.

Since when? In two different drop in tests with only 800 watts, the old Mojo (not the M3 Mojo) was noticeably louder than my old RE SX.

well I'll probably buy another 1206d and run 1200 per coil, on a dual 1 ohm sub, would that push some of these woofers pretty good? also I'm wondering I could just buy 2 more type R 12's for less than these 15's, would three R's be louder with 2 1200w amps? also they would be 2 ohms, how could I wire up 3 dvc 2 ohm subs to 2 amps? 1 ohm stable each. thnx for the offers on the subs but I don't have the $ money yet, I'll be saving for a month or so more to get this stuff. btw, any specs out on the new sub from AQ?
