whats the most a Kicker L7 15" could handle, im regarding rms power, currently i bought a system from benvaldi, which was a 05 Kicker L7 15" and a hifonics b1601 or some like it, and it hums real hard, but i wondered if the woofer could handle more power, its wired at 2 ohms as of righ tnow since sub is 4 ohm so im giving the sub 1100 rms with this amp.

You're pushing it pretty good with 1100wrms. I don't think the '05 models can handle power like the '06s. I could be wrong about that though.

the 05s are nothing compared to the06l7s. the 06s can handle twice their rms rating

I was also wondering the same thing with the 05 L5. I have heard they are under rated on their RMS. How much can they really handle pretty safely.

Probably as much as 1500 if your careful....just gotta know what your doing and listen for clues....

yeah I don't know about the 05's but we are pushing a 06 off a 1500.1 kicker that benched like 1680 and I feel as if its still not enough.
