i got a couple questions... how many watts do u run? what box? what have u been metered at? (what meter and all that) thanks..

Well I own 2 12" L7's...so I may be ablw to help you..

I run each L7 with 1000 watts, if not more. if you run 1000-1200 watts, you'd be great.

I ported mine, in a prefab, yes, prefab //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif giving each L7 1.9 cu bt, tuned at 35 hz, and metered at 148.6

if you port yours with, a ported box, tuned at 35 hz, but making it about 3 to 3.5 cu ft, you should be fine!...

my suggestion for an amp, just because I use a crossfire, you could get the Crossfire VR 1000. it's 1,000 watts at 2 ohms at 12 volts,.and when you run your car at 14.4 volts, you get a 15-20% increase in power..

We run a single 15" in about 5.5 cubes tuned around 35 hz or so. It see's 1000 watts all day. The car sucks on the meter due to the all steel trunk (intrpepid) so I haven't even bothered to try it on my meter. It plays pretty **** low though. Its got impact like a motherf*cker

Is your box a subzone box?

How havent u burnt your voice coils yet? I am underpowering my L7's and have blown 2 of them in a 3 month span.

What are the settings on your amp?

yeah its a subzone, and nope, no voice coils burnt..somethings wrong with your amp then if your frying them..check the amp and wires
