I am finally getting around to building a box for my ext cab tacoma, but I've never put a system in an ext cab truck and don't think I've ever even heard a system in one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. So, if anyone could help me with any of these questions it would be greatly appreciated.
From what I've read it seems that port side/sub up seems to work best, however I can't fire the sub up.
I was wondering if port to the side/sub firing forward would be much different, audibly, compared to sub/port both facing forward.
The port will be running along the back of the box, a little more than half way.
I have heard some say that it is best to put the sub in the middle of the box and some say to put the sub on the side with the port.
I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on sub placement in relation to the port placement.
Subwoofertools.com says that my box.....
14 wide x 17.25 tall x 49 deep Port Area: 55.125 Square Inches Port Length: 27.75 inches
would be approximately 4.15^3 tuned 32.5hz(after sub/bracing).
Does anyone know if that is accurate? Link to box.....

As for bracing, what would be the best types to use on a box this long. I've seen "threaded rod" mentioned mention, not really sure how that works though.
Sorry for the long post, thanks to those who took the time to read it.
