15" L5/L7 VS XXX in sound quality.

I had a 15" 2005 xxx which I sold several months back.

now looking back into the game..

I was wondering two l5 or l7 would compare to the sq of the 15" XXX.

I really liked how the XXX sounded but I heard some mix reviews on the l5/l7..

My friend had the newer l5 they are loud *** shit but they don't seem to have good sq..

Its all in the enclosure. With the proper enclosure, the l7s can sound quite good.

but for daily,each setup right(use this term lightly), the XXX should get lower and still sound better, but thats not to say you cant make the L7 sound better

but both great drivers, just most people that go for L7s that ive heard use highish tuned boxes for just getting loud

I'd say overall, probably not, but like everyone said, it's all in the box. However you will have a bit harder time achieving similar results. It's hard to match SQL against a sub with 34mm of xmax.
