15" HDC3 powered by 2 Orion D2400's strapped, need opinions

Ok so I just bought two Orion D2400's to strap together. Ok heres the rundown on the vehicle, 2000 Silverado Ext Cab with stock 105A alternator, with 4AWG running to a auxilary 800A marine battery in the bed, and 1/0 from the marine battery to a distribution block for the amps. I will probably run 4 AWG from the block to the amps.

Enclosure going under the rear seat with a 4" seat lift, 3.8 cubes after port and subwoofer displacement. Upfiring, and port out the driver side. I was thinking of tuning to about 43Hz since around 52Hz is the resonant frequency of my cab, and musical tuning is around 35 Hz, So I want the best of both worlds, So I decided to tune right in the middle.

I want to get away without upgrading the alternator right now, as I have enough money to finish the system upgrade but not the new alternator just yet, I will be running the amps at 4 ohms strapped, which should be 1500wRMS to the subwoofer. The HDC3 15" suggests 1000RMS, would the 1500wRMS be too much? The reason I am running the amps at 2 ohms each is for better efficiency of the amplifiers. And I want to have the option to load them at 1 ohm each later on with a BTL or something once I get a Iraggi alternator. That is if I ever get tired of the HDC3.

Ok so I could barely get away running the 1500wRMS with the extra batt and all? I would say for 2 months at the most. Also would the extra battery in the bed restrict me from competing in the DB Drag Street B class? Ok well that sub is just what I plan to get, I havent ordered it yet, because I just need more reassurance about buying it.

Ok I had a 10" L7 in a 2.25 cu ft enclosure ported to kickers SPL specs being pushed with a ZX750.1. Both sub and port were forward firing, what percent increase should I expect with this new set up? What numbers would I be hitting with a 15" HDC3 with 1500 watts backing it up in a 3.8 cu ft enclosure tuned to about 43Hz?

Anyone object the HDC3 and reccomend me a subwoofer that will cost me no more $375 shipped and can handle the 1500wRMS and can get louder than the HDC3 15" in my planned enclosure? With the exception of changing the tuning frequency.

Thanks for any help guys, I know its alot of questions, I've done plenty of searching but havent found concrete answers.

Thanks for the help guys, I am pretty stoaked now for the new setup, I plan on going with DB Electrical now for an alternator. 125A at idle and 250A max at 1200RPM sounds like a good deal to me for only $270. Not too sure how long it will last though. I will probably get one alot sooner now, if I go with that DB alternator since its fairly cheap.

Now who says the 2 D2400's are too much for just one HDC3 at 2 ohms (1 ohm each) Should put out 2400wRMS to the sub, if i'm careful with the volume and gain could I get away with it for daily? Or would the 1500wRMS be a better choice for me? I'm guessing the 1500wRMS. but after seeing MLSTRASS's setup I'm considering getting te Dual 1 ohm version and wiring the sub at 2 ohms.

As for the amps I was going to buy a Hifonics BXI2008D to push the sub, But I kept reading everywhere that they were ok amps. And I found good deals on the Orion D2400's so I said what the hell. My original intentions were to get 2 Orion 1200D's and strapping them, but I think the D2400 might put out almost as much 1200D's
