15"h2 vs 15"treo ssx vs 18"re sx

right now i have a 15" h2 which im pretty happy with. it's my daily setup and i''m sending 1500w. it's put up decent numbers(143.7 is my highest). but i do enjoy competitions and would like to get a little more spl. the sq is there with the h2 though. how do you guys think the 15 treo ssx would compare to the h2 with only 1500watts(almost half its rms )?

the re sx 's power handling is only listed at 1000w but i hear they can take more and that may work out better with me only having 1500w. on paper the sx has less excursion than both the h2 and ssx but i'm thinking the cone may make up for it.and i can get the 18" re for a little less than the 15" ssx

any thoughts?

18"SX,and with a good install it can easily handle the 1500wrms,It has the most surface area.I would try to do a lil more witht he H2,play with some boxes u might find something that works.How much room do have to work with and do plan on gettin mo powa later down the road?

i really like my current setup and i would hate to spend more $ on my electrical. i've tried the h2 in about 3 different boxes even though every person i've talked to says 3.5cuft at 33hz. i'm definatly happy with the h2 as a daily driver sub the sq is there and the spl is plenty for normal listening , i just want to maintain those(or get better) and gain a bit more on the meter

The H2 without the proper power 3K+ will not put out as much as a fully power SX. The H2's are power hungry subs, SX is sooo much more efficient and cleaner sounding. I myself prefer 15 and have owned two SX 15's then figured that one was good for the amoutn of space I had for a properly built ported box in my GP so I sold the other. I rand two Kicker SX1250's on the one sub and it was great. I then upgraded to a Treo SSX 15.11 and fell in love, such a great sub! I made a built in, ported into the cabin, sealed it up and I will be running a XXX-6500 on @ 2ohms, should be quite nice... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Polo.

i'm thinking with my amp the ssi may be a better match. how does the ssi compare to the h2?

With your amp the the SX is better for your situation for sure. Or you could always add another amp, plus change the box for the same price.
