2 18" BL's if in the right box should be a lot louder atleast to the ear. i mean, 1 15" BTL you probably have what, 4-5cf box? 2 18" subs should be in around 12cf, with a lot more port. comparing apples to oranges, but i would go with 2 18 BL's because of the cone area.

thanks for the good answers guys appreciate it alot.I was just wondering because my btl is tuned to 35 hz and i like the higher bass notes when they hit.whats the highest tuning i could put on these
