i cant make up my mind on getting the btl or hdc3 alum. it will be powered by a zx2500. it will be in a dodge charger. the box size will be around 4cuft. my goals are to be loud but sound good as well. i have L7 15's sealed right now but kind of tired of the sloppy bass response and just want to try something new. i listen to to mostly trance, drums n bass and rap. wut r ur guysrecommendations? the price difference isnt an issue. thanx

l7's shouldnt sound sloppy if the box is built properly. for that kind of power I'd say go with hdc3 copper coils. I've "Heard" the alum coil versions don't sound to great
I reconed my HDC's to alum the other week and have noticed no loss in SQ out of them. I listen to a lot of metal with fast kicks, blues, R&B, etc... and they sound quite good.

Have only heard a few BTL's, but that was young guys playing crap rap, so no idea how they actually sound on real music //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Much rather own the BTL's.

And neither driver is associated in the least bit with sounding good...not that they're horrible, but multiple lower powered woofers would probably be better for you assuming you wanted loud and clean, such as multiple RE SE's or RD Sonances, something of that nature.

man i really loved my hdc3 12 when i first got it. id say go with that. either one will make you happy so save a few pennies and buy the right sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they will DEFF sound better than the L7's.
Perhaps it was the install, but the HDC3 I have heard didnt sound any better or worse than any of the L7's I've heard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Then again, never heard an L7 sealed, so no clue...

They sound the same, alum can handle a little more power...round 3k.

The btl and hdc3 can both handle that small amount of power. Either or, it'll still pound and sound great

IMO...hdc3-A>btl Just so ur not c0ck riddin steve meade and its cheaper than a fully loaded btl
