15" Brahma or 15" OZ Matrix Elite

Currently running a 15" oz audio matrix elite subwoofer, it is in a 3.5 cube box tuned to 35 hz. I am thinking about switching to a brahma. Would it be a upgrade or downgrade? How well will the brahma do in the current box? It's a brahma MKI

The Brahma is the technically superb sub. However, I would probably get this instead (if you don't mind my recommending something different):

Between the two you originally asked about, I'd vote the Brahma 100 times over.

Adire has lost many customers over the last couple years. Their reliability and customer service has been doubted. The better sub, technically? The Brahma, but me - I would stay with the Oz.

Really depends on what you're trying to get out of it. If you're just trying to get your setup to pound and have over 1K/rms going to it, id go with the OZ. A Brahma in a 3.5 box @ 35hz would do fine though.

Just know that once you're giving it over 1k/rms you're going to need to set the gains right. I had an MKII Brahma in a 3.5 box ported at 28hz for a while. It was seeing 1050-1100rms, but I kept pushing it with the gains not set so conservativly & while it would take a beating (3-4min with a clipped signal) it of course would complain with that familiar smell.

Then again, most any sub would get cranky with a clipped signal for extended periods of time.

really for the amount of power and what your looking for in output, they should be pretty close in general. If you were going to do some competition though, the adire would win out.

brahma is a cool speaker and all, but the oz wins in a sq tournament for **** sure.

Hard call on both, both have different sounds to them and love them both- so I say keep both and get another car-
