the 18" btl was one of my favorite drivers i ever played with, and it dropped low low cant hate on that sub no way

Give Steve at RD a call. If you aren't impressed then come back on here and post. He can tell you in detail every part on every sub and why he went with that part. He knows his stuff, and from what I have seen he makes incredibly solid products. But I will be able to say a lot more as soon as I get my 12" Alpha in next week and power it with the SAZ-1500D:eek:
Right, like how he got 35+ mm of Xmax out of a standard 12 spoke basket.

Atomic products have never been great or revolutionary and RD Audio products do not appear to be either.

I was told there were major differences in the dd99 series and dd95 series when its mainly just the cone and minor soft part differences such as stiffer spiders and different ohm loads. Also gotta love the facts that one of the RD reps said the 18 BTL sucks because it didnt get low. Gotta love em.

some one from rd i guess i was just stating that they dont **** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I do know about RD and not sure where you get off saying I dont....Ive talked to a few of the reps, seen them post on various sites, saw RD's website when it was first started, and my opinion of them stays the same. Im not too fond of the people chosen to rep the company, I dont like their style of advertising and how they respond to potential and regular customers, and If I was gonna get atomic products I would buy from atomic not a new brand. Just my 2 cents.
How could you get Atomic from RD?

And have you talked to Steve yet?

Once again, 90% of the parts used on the Rd subs are different that the parts used on Atomic subs. The RD subs have just as much in commom with Stereo Integrity as they do with Atomic at this point. Unless you are going to try to argue that because they are made in the same buildhouse means they are the same subs. But if that is the case, I can think of about 20 other examples of subs out there that would all be the same thing.

Also, which sub claims to have 35mm of Xmax? I have seen many of the T/S parameters but none of them were close to that.

But the fact of the matter is, they are just NOW getting in their new and final versions of products. Many tests and reviews will be written, and if they make great drivers you will know about it. And if they make bad drivers you will know about it. But all this speculation about the products and one parameter and who designed the old site is pretty irrelevant at this point. I mean if you never want to buy an RD audio product because a few months ago Atomic copied their site over to give them a template to work off of, I guess that is your decision. But if you care more about how loud and how good your subwoofer sounds, then you may want to do some research and keep your eyes open for reviews.

Well, apparently communication with their dealers is poor as well. There was a whole thread on ROE about this. It was the new alpha proto, or something like that.

Even if the parts aren't the same, the end results are very similar and very bland. Either offer something new and innovative or recycle the same things over and over. RD Audio has chosen option number 2, but you and Kevin are all over everywhere acting like RD Audio has re-invented the wheel, when they simply have not. I guess I shouldn't care too much because companies like this never gain much of a share in the market and it seems their success is tied into how well you can blindly lead ecoustics.
