15=hair trick??

one dc audio 15 level 4 umm around 4-5 cb ft 2k rms will be able to do a hair trick in a ford explorer??? or 1 18??? my brother dont have too much room since he needs space..

pr what 15 or 18 under 350 can have the guts to make a hairtrick??

and for the lows the box will be tuned at around 28-35hz for soem windy feeling

What you need to be worrying about is how your stock lectrical is going to power a propper 2K+ amp.

16-20 inches of port area per cubic foot of enclosure as well.

18 for sure for the extra cone area. I think that you have abetter chance running 2 15's at 1k per sub, twice cone area and twice port area.

actually 2 audio Q SD2.5 15-D4 in huge ported box might do it. they are $149 each so 300 for a pair. 500rms though 100o with music

Not familiar with the DC audio they are pretty well regarded on here, an 18 of theirs on 2k might do it.

No one can say and I bet you get a lot of views and not to many responses because it is gonna be entirely install dependednt. pretty much a guess as to wether you can do this or not.

I think that I can get hair to move a little bit with my 15. I've seen girls hair move a little bit when they stand outside my truck, but I haven't had them lay their hair inside the window yet. It's possible.

Are you saying you upgraded it and it can? Or that it can stock?

If it isn't stock and your looking at 2k RMS. I'd hope you have either A. 2 extra batteries, or B. A HO Alt and an extra battery.

Or your probably looking at some major volt drops.

To your question:

1 18" with proper enclosure could probably do some hair trick.

I can feel my hair move with 1 15" on 1300 RMS in a trunk car, and paper bags definitely move. So 1 18", on 2000 RMS, in an explorer, with the proper enclosure. I'd say yeah somewhat.

Let's see if any other fellow people with explorers get on here and see how much it took for them to do hair trick

my charging system can support 3k rms one 200 amps alt and 2 optimas in the back so charging no problem..

so yes my question is that if a dc level 4 15 could be able to do some hairtricks

plain and simple you have to move alot of air to do one

now your definition of a hair trick might be different than mine, but in a normal install with no wall or fancy box stuff, its not going to do an amazing hairtrick if anything at all

i had 1 fi q18 on a rockford t20001bd in my 97 mercury mountaineer (explorer) and it moved hair. now the 2 btl 18's are really doing the job!
