15 comparison, sdc2.5 vs treo ssi vs type R

SDC is gonna be the loudest off the same amount of power

the SSI will sound the best, but are the most inefficient (unless they have changed since I used them)

Type R, should be the cheapest, still be decently loud, and sound good...depends on what you want honestly

SSI will sound better, but the Type R should be louder on the same amount of power

ummm type rs would get the loudest

ssi's would sound amazing and get loud just not as loud as a type r but close.

i run 2 ssi 15s and i ran them off a sundown 3000d and did 148.6 at 45hz. box tuned to 35hz.

Rite on that is what I am trying to say.

Just get the Type R save the $$$$ build a nice box, & use the $$ that you would have spent on the ssi's on a good amp.

This is what I would do get a 15" type R Dual 2ohm & a sundown SAZ3000d. You will be satisfied TRUST ME.

I have a buddy who is running 2 15" type R's dual 2's in a custom SQL box I built him in his Chevy Avalanche with a 2400 watt amp on each type R & man is it LOUD & Clean. He had 2 15" L7's before & somebody stole those & his set up now blows the L7's A W A Y..........

and run the saz at what 2ohms or .5? cuz i was thinkin 2 dual 4's on my bxi2k at the moment till i can get my hands on a saz3000 or something that puts out between 2500-3k @1ohm

i love my treos they get loud on 1100 watts and sound amazing. i picked up one used on ROE for $130, the same price as an R new.

i had an R for a couple of weeks, just wanted to see what 1 10 could do. imo the treos are louder and sound much better., but then you are comparing 2 12s to 1 10.

it seems like your gonna need 3000 watt amp like "chaunb3400" said. you got the $700ish bucks for the sundown, or the charging system for it? the treos too would sound good on 3000 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif but i think they would handle it better than the R's.

though your not gonna find an ssi for under $250 new, unless you know someone. and used ones are hard to find (as indiatrunk knows).

Well if you do pick up 2 dual 4 ohm type r's you are set then I thought you were just going for one 15. Just pick up the 2 15" type r's dual 4ohm & run them @ 1ohm. You will be fine, I have my 4 12's running off a SAZ3000d & they are just fine. LOUD AS HELL & CLEAN it soundz AWWWWWWWWSOME. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

SSi's get very loud and will handle 3k no problem. I really do not see a comparison here. The SDCs will get louder then Type Rs, we put terrible amounts of power to SDC that would have ate Type Rs in no time. We ran a Cadence ZRS-9000 to a pair of 12" SDC and pulled a 151.2 in a trunk car.

But hands down the SSi, they will get louder then a Type R, handle more power, and sound better. An SSi is more comparable to a Type X if anything. Type Rs are nice for the money but I just do not see any comparison. I truely hope everyone offering up opinions are from experience with all 3 woofers. I have had my fun with Type Rs but they do not handle lots of power over long periods of time.

1. SSi - Loudest, will handle the most power, just better in general

2. Type R - Excellent for the price, good all around sub.

I dont know anything about the treo.
