15'' AA avalanche vs. 15'' fi q

im almost sold on getting a 15'' q, the only problem is all i can go by are reviews and comments from people who might not have even heard the sub first hand. but i do have more than enough experience with AA's avalanche. It's a 15 in a ported box tuned to 30 hz, and its powered by a ppi 1000.1. Are these subs close in both sq and spl? to anyone who has experience with both, let me know which you preferred and why

Just going by specs alone (which could mean nothing) and knowing the build house, I'd bet they are veerrrry similar, with the nod to the Q for a flatter response. The Ava tends to roll off rather quickly up top. I would not doubt that with tuning you could probably make them sound identical. Of course this is all speculation on my part and I'd love to hear from somebody who has extensive experience with both.

because if it breaks you can get a new one.

aa does not sell avas anymore. so there would be no transferrable warranty. well maybe. but i would be iffy about it.
