hey guys i was wondering is there any way to achieve 14volts out of a not heavly modded car? i see so many manufactures rate ther amps rms on 14+volts????? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif that rms dont mean shiz to my 12v system.. thanks guys

...they rate them at that because your alternator should charge at ~14v

Meaning when your car is on, the electrical system is running at 14v (14.4v for most)

He is correct, the Alternator has to be higher voltage than the battery to cause a stable current flow to the lower voltage.
