14v?

batteries are considered 12v, but most sit at about 12.6v. your alternator charges your electrical system at about 13.8-14.5v when your car is running. So you do not need anything else. You can check your voltage with a digital multi-meter, you should be at about 14.4v when your car is running.

stop by a parts store or walmart or something and buy a Digital multi-meter (DMM). You can test your voltage to see what it is truly at. This DMM will help you out later on different projects when you get more into car audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i would say 0ga just so if you upgrade in the future you ont have to re-run the wires.
Very True but unfortunately i dont have n e 0 gage wire laying around like i do 4 gage, but Im considering doing that. how do you put 0 gage wire into a 4 gage wire input on an amp?
