Well that doesn't make much sense. I have a 250 amp alt and a yellow top and it struggles terribly at 3k watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gifI have a 115 amp alt with a yellow top + big 3 in 0 gauge, and I run 2500+ RMS all day long.
I only have one installed right now. Big 3 is done in 1/0. I have a red top to put under the hood but as of now it's just the yellow top.blados ... do you have 2 batteries or just one?cause almost all chassis can only handle about what a 4awg can handle

I think the point has been made that every car/installation is different. Some have trouble when it seems like they shouldn't, and some run great when the alt/batt appear weak.Ive got stock 120a alt on stock batt, and Im running 2500
Not for music - not even 1/2. Less if the volume's below anything below full.i would say no because 2500w is going to be about 200A+ draw.
That's one professional opinion - others say 1/0 or more.blados ... do you have 2 batteries or just one?cause almost all chassis can only handle about what a 4awg can handle
