130Amp Alt + Yellowtop will handle how much RMS?

I can't find where to hook the wire to the ALT positive, and I can't find a screw on the engine block to screw a wire to, thats my only problems.

My stock alt is 130amp and with a stock battery I was able to run 2,000rms off an Orion 2500d during the day. At night thought it would dim so I would only bass about 3/4 the volume I would play during the day.

I will let you know how my new setup handles.

i would say no because 2500w is going to be about 200A+ draw. i would stay around 1500w if you dont want to harm/strain your electrical. im sure you can run that power as the previous posters did but its deffinately not going to be good on your call and likely will slowly kill your alt.

I have a 115 amp alt with a yellow top + big 3 in 0 gauge, and I run 2500+ RMS all day long.
Well that doesn't make much sense. I have a 250 amp alt and a yellow top and it struggles terribly at 3k watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

blados ... do you have 2 batteries or just one?cause almost all chassis can only handle about what a 4awg can handle
I only have one installed right now. Big 3 is done in 1/0. I have a red top to put under the hood but as of now it's just the yellow top.

Ive got stock 120a alt on stock batt, and Im running 2500
I think the point has been made that every car/installation is different. Some have trouble when it seems like they shouldn't, and some run great when the alt/batt appear weak.

It usually comes down to -- "Hook it up and see what happens."

Not for music - not even 1/2. Less if the volume's below anything below full.

That's one professional opinion - others say 1/0 or more.

And what does the number of batteries have to do with anything?
