Has anyone ever bought from cbrstereo.com or knows somebody who has? They are selling the 12w7 for 500 dollars. The only problem is that the warrenty is only for 6 months. Is this long enough, i know most places offer a warrenty for around a year. Does anyone know a good place to by this sub from? thanks alot

From what I understand, you recieve no warranty from JL on internet sales and a very limited one (like 30 days) if its bought authorized but not installed by an authorized installer. I ordered my entire system from CBRStereo. When they were back ordered on a couple pieces they cancelled my entire order and contacted me immediately(sp?). I liked that, there are many sites out there that will send you a partial order, which does a lot of us no good. Then you have to sit and wait on your other pieces instead of being able to order from someone else. Buyloud.com is like that. Buyloud is very shady, overpriced and have many, many complaints logged against them.

okay i will stay away from buyloud. What bout tms-electronics.com. They have the jl for a very good price. I have heard some pretty good things about that place. Only problem is that the warrenty is for 90 days only. Do you think i should still buy from here?

I can't access the subwoofers on that page, keep getting an error. But I do know that it's not worth it to give up 3 months or more of warranty to save $15-20 on a sub that expensive. I trust CBR too, so that's worth some extra coin to me too.

On a side note, I have heard of local dealers matching internet prices on the 12W7 down to the $500 mark.
