12w6 vs Fi Q?

honestly these are my two current favorite drivers. The Q has the ability to get a little louder, but the W6 is one of my favorite SQ subs. Hands down. This is just my opinion though. I say Q for a loud daily setup.

If you truly want an SQ setup either will provide enough undistorted volume to do it, so I really don't know what you're looking for.

Why in the holy grace of god would you go with SPL on a Q/ W6v2

never heard a Q, but to use the W6v2 for SPL is an injustice...its an awesome sounding sub

they are much the same class of sub... Q is an SQ speaker as mush as the W6, i prefere the w6 a little for SQ but i think the Q might have a better potential for output.
i would go neither though, the question is like asking "which is better to wipe your *** with: a tooth brush or a mop?"

If you want to compete SPL in either driver, off-yourself. NOW

The Q would handle more power, about 1-1.5 kw

Where as the w6v2 could handle 500-750

So it would depend on your amplifier, if you only got 600 watts of juice run the w6v2, if you got more then 1kw, go with the Q.

Having heard both, Honestly the w6v2 is a much better woofer. This forum loves FI and they are a great company so they support them. I like them as well but must say the w6 > Q

It is install dependent. Each in the correct install, the Q should get louder.

I have 2 12W6V2s, and they can get plenty loud... not as loud as a lot of subs out there, but they can make some noise, and sound good doing it too.

From what i was told, is the Q has the Sq of the W6 and the output of a W7, but i may have been misinformed.

And sadly i have no room for a W7.

Fi's website rec's 1.8cf ported on the small end for the 12" Q. If you can use it then you can use either the 12W7 or the 13W6.

HAHA, Who ever said i was going ported, and did you take into consideration of mounting depth. I clearly stated before i was going sealed.

Can Any one suggest anything that is one the level of a W7?
