12v signal with a relay?

Hey all. I have a question. Say i want to turn on 2 12v signals with one 12v wire? How would i go about doing this in reference with a relay? Ive heard thats what i needed. I know its got all the little tabs on one side. But how would i hook it up?

Go to your local EXPERIENCED audio shop and have them draw you a quick schematic. I had to do the same thing a couple weeks ago.

just 2 things you should be fine just jumping your remote wire over, i assume you are talking about amps

Good point if its just remotes or something splice it up and run them off one wire. I ran 8 amp remotes off one 11 gauge wire for over a year with no problems.

85 is remote wire from the h/u

86 is ground

87 is power to the battery

30 goes out to your amps/fans whatever

well what it is... is i want to run 2 sets of foglights, front and rear for my truck. I do alot of towing and i need ALOT of light. But i wanted to run them off of my headlight switch, high beams. So I traced the power for the headlights, and i want to splice into there. So when i turn the high beams on, they all come on. But i dont want to blow anything.

Why not?

Your average set of aftermarket foglights isn't going to draw more than 15 amperes by itself and the average automotive SPST relay is going to be a 30a unit....so why not use it to its capacity?
