12's vs 15's

Given the same amount of power, 15's will be louder in the correct enclosure.

right now i have 2 pioneer premier champ series 12's, with power acoustik overrated bamf 2000D. (says 1200 rms, but prob only 1000). lookin at a 2000 rms amp. any recommended 15 subs? under $200 each.

get better amp to start i used same subs in a build with an aq2200 and it sounded nice didn't meter it though. like mentioned 15's should be louder if done right but dont count 12's out ive seen some crazy numbers out of them.

15's are where its at man. I personally wouldn't go with anything else. 12's can get just as loud as 15's if used right.

OP, if you have a smaller car, id say get some more powerful 12" subs, and a bigger amp.

Uh, no. Unless you are talking about stacking the deck against the 15's, which is hardly fair or even relevant.

what I meant was if you gave a stronger 12" sub more power, you could get as loud, or louder than a weaker 15" with lesser power.
